On 10 October 2026, the Student Council brought Hideaway Escape Room to life, giving students an exciting break from the pressure of examination week. More than 50 participants took part in the event, working together to solve puzzles, discover clues, and escape within the 45-minute time limit. Running from midday until the evening, Hideaway gave students a chance to relax and enjoy an engaging experience outside the classroom.
The event featured four time slots throughout the day with overlapping sessions to accommodate as many participants as possible. Student Council members supervised all sessions, explained the rules and guided participants through each room from start to finish. With two difficulty levels students could choose challenges that matched their age group.
This year, Hideaway featured two themed escape rooms. The Pennywise Escape Room challenged students to navigate a dark and mysterious setting full of puzzles, combination locks and sudden jump scares. Meanwhile, primary students tackled the MrBeast
$1,000,000 Escape Room, solving clues and completing challenges to try to find a prize and other rewards. Both rooms gave participants a chance to test their problem‑solving skills and teamwork.
Behind the scenes, preparing for the Hideaway Escape Room presented several challenges. Friday’s preparations went according to plan. Saturday brought several unexpected challenges. Despite these difficulties the Student Council worked together to keep the event running. After the event, the team cleaned up quickly and efficiently.
Overall, Hideaway Escape Room 2026 was a memorable experience for participants and organisers alike. Although the preparation process had its challenges, the hard work and cooperation of the Student Council helped bring the event to life. We extend our thanks to everyone who supported or participated in Hideaway and helped make this year’s event possible.
“Between the excitement of MrBeast’s challenges and the fear of Pennywise, Hideaway was built through hard work, stress, and countless challenges. Behind every game and every detail were struggles people never saw, but every obstacle brought us closer to creating something unforgettable.”
