    SC: NORTHLIGHT SCHOOL IMMERSION 2026

On 16 September 2026, NationalHigh Jakarta School welcomed students from NorthLight School for the NorthLight Immersion Program 2026, with the theme “Batik and Beyond.” The program was organised to provide NorthLight students with an opportunity to experience Indonesian culture while also learning more about leadership, teamwork, and student life at NationalHigh Jakarta School.

The event began with the arrival of the NorthLight students, followed by an opening ceremony in the auditorium. The ceremony included a traditional
dance performance as well as presentations from both NationalHigh Jakarta School and NorthLight School. This allowed students from both schools to introduce their school communities and learn more about one another.

Following the opening ceremony, the NorthLight students were taken on a school tour, where they were introduced to various facilities around the NationalHigh Jakarta School campus. They also visited the Student Council room, where they were able to learn more about how the Student Council operates and the different roles and responsibilities involved in organising school events and activities.

One of the main highlights of the immersion was the Art Class and Cultural Presentation. During this session, students were introduced to batik, one of Indonesia’s most well-known cultural traditions. They were given the opportunity to create their own batik-inspired designs on tote bags, allowing them to experience Indonesian culture through a hands-on and interactive activity.

The program then continued with a TDG activity, presentation, and leadership workshop led by the Student Council. Through these activities, students were encouraged to communicate, collaborate, and work together while developing a better understanding of leadership and teamwork. The activities also provided an opportunity for students from both schools to interact more closely and build new connections.

The immersion concluded with a farewell session, marking the end of the day’s activities. Overall, Batik and Beyond successfully combined cultural learning with leadership and teamwork activities. The program allowed students from NorthLight School to gain a deeper understanding of Indonesian culture while also creating meaningful interactions and friendships between students from both schools.
